Carlita Cartmill-Wheeler Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who

Carlita Cartmill-Wheeler is the author of the children's book "The Split Pea Soup Caper"

    YUKON, OK, November 30, 2010 /Publications PR News/ -- Carlita Cartmill-Wheeler, Self-Employed Published Author has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in writing.

With six years of professional experience, Ms. Cartmill-Wheeler specializes in writing children's books. Her pen name is "Carly Cartmill," and she enjoys making children smile and laugh with her writing. As a self-employed author, she manages book sales in various venues and accepts invitations for book readings across the United States. Ms. Cartmill-Wheeler is the author of "The Split Pea Soup Caper," a nonfiction book based on events that happened in her life. She dedicated the book to her daughter, Bailey, and her late father. In 2009, the governor of Oklahoma, Mr. Brad Henry, had her book read during the Governor's September Fest. Ms. Cartmill-Wheeler is currently in the process of writing her second book.

A member of The Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators, she graduated from The Institute of Children's Literature in 2006. Ms. Cartmill-Wheeler is a member of The Edmond Historical Society and has participated in the Chisholm Trail Book Festival. She was noted Best Fictional Character by the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Library System. In her spare time, she lends her services to Habitat for Humanity International, Toby Keith's Ally's House, the Jesus House and the City Rescue Mission. Ms. Cartmill-Wheeler's goal is to see one of her books on The New York Times bestsellers list.
