Peggy A. Davis, RN, MSN teaches nursing students at The University of Tennessee at Martin
MARTIN, TN, November 08, 2010 /Publications PR News/ -- Peggy A. Davis, RN, MSN, Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing at The University of Tennessee at Martin, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing education.
Peggy A. Davis is a nursing specialist, having accumulated more than three decades of practice expertise in the healthcare industry. For the past 10 years, she has thrived as an Assistant Professor of Nursing with The University of Tennessee at Martin, where she teaches critical care, and the fundamentals of nursing. Over the course of her career, Ms. Davis has worked as a staff/charge nurse, nurse manager and nursing consultant in a number of healthcare facilities across Tennessee. Her former experience includes positions at Henry County Medical Center, Paris Healthcare, Kaplan Educational Learning Center, and Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
Immersed in all aspects of the nursing field, Ms. Davis is not only a teacher, but is a research professional, author, public servant and consultant. She has co-authored a myriad of scholarly articles, which have appeared in various publications including the Journal of Obstetrical, Gynecological, and Neonatal Nursing, and Clinical Nurse Specialist. Ms. Davis has also contributed to a variety of poster presentations and graduate research projects. She is an active public speaker on subjects pertaining to healthcare. Additionally, she has worked closely with local Baptist churches to educate parishioners about the risk of stroke and methods for a healthy lifestyle.
Ms. Davis holds a master of science in nursing from Murray State University, earned in 2000, a bachelor of science in nursing from The University of Tennessee at Martin, earned in 1996, and an associate degree in nursing from Elizabethtown Community College, earned in 1976. She also earned a bachelor of science in zoology from The University of Tennessee at Martin in 1974. Ms. Davis is a first aid instructor. She is professionally affiliated with the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, the Tennessee Nurses Association District 10, the American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International.
