Brooklyn, NY, August 30, 2008, Louise R. Simonelli, Inventor and Artist, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in scientific innovation.

A lifelong inventor who has been developing ideas since childhood, Ms. Simonelli holds a patent for the reduced-scale racing system. Designed to advance independent living, it features a camera on a self-powered, remotely controlled vehicle that provides a real-to-life image of the vehicle's path of travel on a monitor viewed by the user. In addition to this, Ms. Simonelli has completed at least 19 major inventions, all recognized as breakthroughs not only in independent living but in various other fields. She finds deep personal fulfillment in utilizing her gifts to make people secure and happy and to improve their quality of life. "I see happiness when I can alleviate some of the problems that people face," she says. "I feel I work for a higher power."

Ms. Simonelli has also made significant contributions to police work. A former police officer and detective, she considers having had the opportunity to protect and save lives on a daily basis to have been the most rewarding aspect of her career in public service. This humanitarian spirit continues to fuel her work not only as an inventor, but as a philanthropist actively involved with the Special Olympics and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Away from work, Ms. Simonelli has found other outlets for her creativity; in addition to being an inventor, she is a visual artist, sculptor and gourmet cook. She attributes the successes that she has enjoyed in multiple fields to infusing passion in everything that she does. She is currently working on new technology.
